Activities & Attractions

There are numerous attractions within easy reach, with Bangor, Caernarfon, Llanberis / Snowdon, Beddgelert, Porthmadog, Anglesey, Llandudno and Conwy.

Walkers, climbers and mountain bikers are spoilt for choice with mountains, forests, and wooded valleys waiting to be explored; fishing is also popular here

There are a number of walking paths near Capel. Two popular are the walk North East to Trefriw and the riverside walk from Betws-y-coed via Swallow Falls.

Local mountain guides are available for hire.

The National Mountain Centre

Should you wish to do anything involving mountains, go on a course, find out about climbing conditions, eat, drink and chat, or even gain qualifications, then the National Mountain Centre should be your first port of call.

You won't meet anyone more experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic than their wonderful staff.

St. Julitta's Church

St. Jullita's Church, is the smallest in Snowdonia and was originally known as Curig's Chapel, it gave its name to the village of Capel Curig.

The church was created, financed and crafted by the people of Capel Curig, representing the simplicity and the spirit of the village.
